Inanna & the Seven Gates
The ancient Sumerian story of Inanna’s Descent into the Underworld offers the mythic map for the Venus journey. Inanna descends through seven gates, surrendering something at each threshold, enters the mystery of death and transformation, and eventually rises again—reclaiming what was surrendered anew. Her journey mirrors our own cycles of descent, transformation, reclamation, and becoming.

The Venus Underworld
There comes a moment in every Venus journey when she disappears from the sky. This is the sacred passage between death and rebirth, when what has been stripped away can no longer be reclaimed in its old form, and what is becoming has not yet fully revealed itself.
The Underworld is not where we lose ourselves. It is where we are transformed.
Venus Evening Star
Venus returns as the Evening Star and begins the sacred journey of ascent, reclamation, and embodiment. Having descended through the gates and entered the mystery of the Underworld, we now rise again—reclaiming what was surrendered, but in a new form.
