There are places in this world where the old memory still breathes—where the land itself holds the remnants of a time when the Feminine was revered as the living pulse of creation. Galicia and the old Celtic-Spanish landscapes are one of these rare thresholds. Here, the stone fortresses, the ancient forests, and the winds off the Atlantic still carry the echoes of a lineage that has never truly died.
This retreat is an immersive pilgrimage into that living memory.
Over several days, we gather on sacred land to awaken the Feminine currents still held in the earth—currents that move through our bodies, our ancestral lines, and the collective field. Through shamanic practices, earth-based ritual, voice medicine, ancestral remembrance, and ancient feminine medicine, we reclaim what has been buried within us: the living lineage of the Mother.
This is a space of descent and rising—a space to thaw what has been frozen, unshame what has been silenced, and restore the threads connecting us.
This is a sacred return.
A return to the Mother’s pulse of Her land.

A Remembrance of the Mother Land
On this western coast of the Iberian Peninsula, on the border of Portugal & Spain, the Mother Culture was once awake and thriving, not too long ago.
She awaits us now, at this delicate changing of the Guards… from the patriarchal Gods to the return of the Great Mother.
We are the ones She is waiting for… to sing, dance and awaken Her spirit & usher Her return on the MotherLand.
In the ancient land of Galicia, Spain, the Feminine was never fully forgotten. This land—once home to the Celtic castro cultures—holds one of the oldest living threads of devotion to the Mother, in all of Europe. Here, the people built circular homes shaped like wombs, honored the waters of Nabia, the radiance of Brigantia, and the unnamed Mothers who guarded lineage, fertility, and fate. The hills, rivers, and carved spirals of this region still hum with the memory of a world where the Feminine was the source of life, sovereignty, and spiritual belonging. To come to Spain is to return to a place where the body of the Mother is etched into the land itself—an ancestral field of remembrance ready to awaken those who can feel Her again.
On this pilgrimage, we journey to three ancient sanctuaries—each a doorway into the living memory of the Mother—where land, stone, and spirit rise to meet us and awaken what has long slept within our own bones.

Why the Iberian Peninsula… Galicia Spain?
Mary Magdalen Chapel
On a quiet hill overlooking the ancient land, tucked away behind the Shakti Rio Mino Retreat, this small stone chapel dedicated to Mary Magdalene stands as a guardian of a far older feminine lineage. Though its granite walls were shaped in medieval times, the site itself carries the unmistakable signature of an ancient sanctuary—likely a pre-Christian place where women gathered, prayed, and honored the Earth as Mother. Magdalene chapels were often built on these older sacred grounds, preserving the memory of the Feminine through a new name while keeping the original devotion alive in the stones. Here, surrounded by trees and sky, the veil thins. The presence of the Mother feels intimate, undisturbed, and profoundly alive. We come to this hill to listen—to let Magdalene open the gate to our own inner remembrance, and to receive the quiet, ancestral current that still pulses through this land.
St. Mary Tui Cathedral
Standing at the threshold between Spain and Portugal, the Cathedral of Santa María in Tui carries a quiet, enduring devotion to the Mother woven into its stones. Though shaped later by Christian hands, the site itself rests on a far older lineage of feminine reverence—long before the cathedral rose, this hill was a sacred place where the Mother of the land was honored as protector, guide, and source of life. Inside the cathedral, the presence of Santa María is not merely Mother Mary; she is the encoded memory of the Great Mother transformed yet still alive beneath the surface. To enter this space on pilgrimage is to feel the convergence of ancient and medieval devotions, where the Feminine survived through symbols, altars, and the prayers of countless women who carried Her in their hearts. We visit Santa María de Tui to attune to this unbroken undercurrent of the Mother—soft, powerful, hidden yet radiant—and to awaken the remembrance that She has been with us all along, even in the places where Her name was changed but Her essence remained.
Castro Settlement & Neolithic Petrogylphs
Perched high above the Atlantic, the Castro de Santa Trega is one of the most powerful portals to the ancient Mother in all of Iberia. Though the castro settlement itself dates to around 100 BCE, the mountain holds something far older: Neolithic petroglyphs—spirals, serpents, circles—etched into sacred stone between 10,000 and 2,000 BCE. These carvings are not decorations; they are the fingerprints of the old Mother culture, the last whispers of a time when the Feminine was honored as the Source of life, death, regeneration, and cosmic order. To walk this mountain is to step inside a living temple where the land, the sea, and the sky meet. It is a pilgrimage into the bones of the Earth, a place where the ancient Feminine still pulses through stone and wind. We journey here to awaken Her within us—and the land, to remember, through our bodies, what our ancestors once knew: that the Mother lives in the land, and the land lives in us.

- We will spend 6 days and 5 nights on in Galicia, Spain, on the Rio Mino, border between Spain & Portugal, May 4-9, 2026.
- Limited to 8 women only.
- Each participant will have free membership until May 2026, in our online AMMA – feminine spirituality community.
- Each participant will receive a free copy of ‘Birth of the Conscious Feminine’ by Dr. Luna.
- During our pilgrimage we will explore three sites; Magdalen Chapel, Santa Maria Tui Cathedral and the Castro Settlement Ruins & neolithic petroglyphs of the Mother Cultures.
- Accommodations, meals and transportation to these specific sites is included. Airfare, transportation to and from retreat to airports etc., is not included with Retreat.

Dr. Leonor Murciano-Luna, is a Medicine Woman, Holistic Doctor, spiritual healer and teacher, author, and founder of the Feminine Medicine Institute. For more than three decades, she has devoted herself to the wisdom of mystical traditions and Feminine spirituality, guiding women into the ancestral healing ways of the Feminine.
Her first retreat, Reclaim Your True Self, took place 38 years ago, marking the beginning of a lifelong path of leading women through spiritual pilgrimages and transformational immersions. Across these years, Dr. Luna has cultivated a profound understanding of how women’s healing is shaped by historical, psychological, cultural, spiritual, and somatic forces—and she brings this multidimensional lens into every space she holds.
As the founder of Feminine Medicine, she teaches the reclamation of our wholeness, and divine nature, the remembrance of the living Feminine lineage, and the revival of ancient Feminine healing arts.
